Improving the speed and quality of service

Frustrated with its existing competitor research tool, SBP Law Solicitors made the switch to LexisPSL in 2019, and has seen improvements to efficiency and client delivery as a result.

SBP Law Solicitors (SBP) is a boutique London‐based practice that offers “big firm expertise, with superior service” and prides itself on “punching above its weight” in areas often dominated by larger firms.

For years, SBP subscribed to a competitor research tool, supplemented with additional resources. However, the firm’s lawyers found they were experiencing declining reliability and functionality from that provider.

“We were particularly frustrated with the search function, which simply wasn’t returning the results we needed”, explains David Pritchard, commercial litigation and dispute resolution partner. “When searching for something, it often returned tens of thousands of items which weren’t in any order and were often not relevant”. In 2019, the firm decided to trial LexisPSL, which offers clear, up‐to‐date resources for all legal matters. As part of the trial, SBP tested the practice notes, precedents and other best‐practice material.
